PRIVACY POLICY
1. WHO WE ARE
Signal Station OPC ("Signal Station", "we", "us") operates a UL-certified monitoring center and call center. We process personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines and its implementing rules, and applicable laws where our clients operate. For any privacy matter, contact us at service@signalstation.ph or +1 888 295 3718.
2. DATA WE COLLECT
Depending on the services you use, we may collect:
- Contact and account data — names, company details, email addresses, phone numbers, billing information, and emergency contact lists you provide.
- Monitoring signals — alarm events, sensor readings (environmental, gas, water), GPS locations, nurse call and wander-management events from devices you ask us to monitor.
- Video — camera feeds and recordings for video monitoring and virtual guard services.
- Call data — recordings and logs of calls we answer or place on your behalf, including caller names, numbers, and messages.
- Website data — information you submit through our quote form.
3. HOW WE USE IT
We use personal data solely to deliver the services you contract for: verifying and responding to alarms, dispatching emergency services, answering and routing calls in your company's name, scheduling appointments, maintaining required event logs, billing, and improving service quality (including operator training using call recordings). We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share data only:
- With emergency responders, dispatchers, and your designated contacts, following the escalation instructions you give us;
- With service providers (e.g. telecom and hosting vendors) bound by confidentiality and data-processing agreements;
- With the client on whose behalf we answer calls or monitor systems — call logs, recordings, and event reports belong to that client;
- When required by law, court order, or lawful request of authorities.
5. SMS / TEXT MESSAGING
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6. RETENTION
Alarm and event logs are retained for the period required by UL certification standards and our client agreements. Call recordings are retained for a limited period defined in your service agreement, then securely deleted. Account data is kept for the duration of the relationship plus any period required by tax and corporate law.
7. SECURITY
Our facilities and systems meet UL central-station requirements, including physical access controls, redundant power and communications, encrypted transmission and storage of monitoring data, and role-based access for operators. Access to recordings and logs is limited to personnel who need it to deliver the service.
8. WEBSITE SECURITY & CLOUDFLARE TURNSTILE
Our website is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a managed challenge service that distinguishes human visitors from bots and automated abuse. When you interact with our contact form, Turnstile may collect technical data about your browser and device (such as your IP address, browser type, and challenge response) to assess whether you are a real person.
We use this service solely to prevent spam, fraudulent submissions, and abuse of our website. The data collected by Cloudflare is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy practices. For details on what Cloudflare collects and how it is processed, please review the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Data Privacy Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise any right, email service@signalstation.ph. We respond within the periods required by law.
10. CHANGES
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date, and active clients will be notified directly.
